Why should I use an editor?
There are many reasons why you may need an editor. As the author you may have become too close to your document, and so you read what you think is there rather than what actually is there; or you have an article you need to submit and would like it editing to conform with a specific journal's submission guidelines; or maybe you need your report polishing by a specific deadline or to your house style. Whatever the reason, I am here to help you make sure your words are the best they can be.
There are lots of ways an editor can help you with your document – and not just with grammar and spelling.
I can also help you to structure your document in a logical and consistent manner; choose the right language appropriate to your reader; remove any ambiguity; and make sure your writing is internally consistent.
Another important area I can help you with is formatting your document in Microsoft Word by making sure the style and formatting of the text, headings, tables and figures, lists and bullet points are all consistent or conform to your specified style guide.
